In the 1980s in a small town in Essex, 17-year-old Curt Smith suffers from ADHD and OCD. Since the death of his father recently, his mental health deteriorated and he gained powers as a result of his inner conflicts. Curt and his friends, Roland, Dave, Martin, Fletch, Simon, George, Andy and Kate along with newcomers, Jon, Maddy and Bryan deal with supernatural stuff in the midst of a Thatcher-era Britain and the AIDS pandemic.

Warning: Although the characters are loosely based on real celebrities of the 80s, everything is fictitious. With the exception of the AIDS pandemic and any event that had happened to the celebrity in real life that is added to the character.
