Yunho was always considered as a good student, people even called him the "Teacher's pet" and it never bothered him, he was more mature than them anyway. He wasn't exactly liked in his school, he didn't have friends, he was always alone and the 'worst' thing : they assumed that he was gay, that's when bullying started, the other students hated him for his sexuality. And for the pure, kind and innocent person that is Yunho, it was a lot to handle, alone.
Mingi was always considered as the confident bad boy, every girls were crazy over him (and even some boys but they'll never say it out loud) School wasn't his thing but partying was. The only thing that he liked about school is the club of basketball he was the captain of. But deep down, Mingi was sad, always feeling alone even when he's with his friends, his life was just colorless, drugs and alcohol were the only things that could help him.
