Every quarter of a millennium, the gods create two beings. Two beings that are molded by each other, for each other. Perfect for one another. They will always have the same face and feelings. They may be born in opposite sides of the world, they may live next to each other, but fate will always bring them together.
It is said that this was due to the love the gods witness between the first humans beings and wanting to relieve it again and again, with the same faces and the same love. Therefore making the 'lovers' have the same appearance. They're called 'The Couple'.
Yet others don't believe in fate and this 'silly' tale told from daughter to daughter when they went to sleep. They believe true love is only part of the imagination, and that there's no such thing as fate. I pity this type. Even though they don't believe it, they are always the ones that form part of the legend.

So when Alice and her friends, wake up in the middle of a crowded hall, that looks like it came out from a Medieval history book. And finding out that shifters do exist, also that the creator and second in command/Watcher and owner of the legendary 'Fire Wall', are both her mates. Her and her friends lives will never be the same again. Through twists and turns, they will face: death, love, sacrifice and face there true fate with a heavy heart. Second chances and the fate of there world and universe is in the palm of there hand. It is official these girls will have an interesting ride. (All the myths and legends in this book are based around beings who are already in books and legends, although there may be one or two that I have made myself. The beings that I have described in this book, may not be how they are in myths and legends, but please don't get annoyed or angry, for this is how I have done it with as much information as I possibly can. People says pairs are made by "them". They are the soul reason a person is paired up. They form the perfect couple. Sometimes our other half is around us, it only takes that "spark" to feel and know that "This is it" he/she is our life patner. Yet somehow they went so well together. It was fate. So, was it fate then, when on his sixteenth birthday, this boy...found his side. Only it wasn't angel by any means. It was pure and utter demon. Killing his human family in a rage after they'd brought him up for so long, he went to her next. The friend he'd relied on for so long, yet there was pure hate in his eyes. He blamed her for everything. He hated her with a passion. She was an angel and, she was hidden on Earth when in reality. She should of been a slave like the rest of them. She need to be taught her place, underneath him. She was to become his slave, everything in these past sixteen years now meant nothing to him.
