Years after Morris and the Darkling did the magic exchange, Morris finds herself a prisoner of his. Locked in a cell by day and night, only let out at times to practice her magic. Her arms and back have been scared by the thorns of the rose. The rose who's magic runs through her veins, that gives her the purple ball of death.

The darkling becomes more and more power hungry and becomes his true self, destroying everything In his wake. At what point will the power become to much and leave him to never return to a normal state of mind.
