a graduating dental resident, a world renowned chef. what could they have possibly have in common? absolutely nothing.

that was what they had both thought initially. now, sitting face to face in a fancy candlelit restaurant, they meet each other for the first time. jay was not the kind of person she pictured in her mind, even though she had basically searched him up hours before the date. lisa was too, not the kind of person he pictured in his mind, even though he had basically searched her up hours before as well.

awkward smiles and clinking utensils were the only thing resonating around the couple, as they find ways to not make this a good date. but how could jay possibly have the heart to ruin this date when his business was on the line, and how could lisa ruin it as well, with her freedom on the line? but could they get though with the demands of their wants?

jay couldn't deal with this silence and tension and the many thoughts running through his mind. its making him stress out unnecessarily. so he put down his utensils and gazed at the woman in front of him (that he refused to acknowledge again after greeting each other earlier) and said the first thing that came into his mind.
