Rebecca "Bex" Carver just wants to be herself, but she finds herself forced to maintain an image set by her parents and her older brother Jason. Bex has had her eyes on Eddie Munson and his Motley crew of a D&D club called Hellfire since her sophomore year, some would even call it a crush but she wouldn't dare to admit it especially considering her older brother loathes Eddie and as he calls it, his satanic cult.
Soon Bex finds her boring world of Popularity and Pom-Poms colliding with Eddie's much more exciting World of Freaks and Geeks as she is appointed Eddie Munson's math tutor. A forbidden romance begins to brew that Bex struggles to keep from her parents, her brother, and her friends.
