20 year old, Rachel moved to France when her mother, father, and brother all died in a car crash. She was supposedly meeting her 'last remaining relative' or something like that. Turns out that she is  the last of her family. She lived on the streets until she was taken in as a trainee in the French Special Forces. When the epidemic begins her, and her group travel to America, but are separated in a herd. Rachel meets up with some old friends from school, and a man with eyes the color of the sky.
