Kit Robinson is dead. Or something like it. Either way, waking up strapped to her seat in a crashing plane somehow turns out to be the least of Kit's worries. After landing herself in a purgatorial underworld reserved for those who have taken their own life, Kit receives some unwanted help from an unlikely pair - a demigod and...a siren? Refusing their offer to guide her soul back into the Light, Kit joins the immortals to help save other souls trapped in the Never End. In meeting these new companions, she unearths shards of her own past and what led to her demise. And as her soul creeps closer to permanent Death, she tries to find a reason to give herself a second chance.
