Gotham city is definitely not the place you'd want a teen orphan to grow up, but Avril Card doesn't exactly have the option to go anywhere else. After her mother dies in a tragic car accident she is left on the side of the road in some forrest to be found by her " father" yeah, the one who was supposed to have died when she was an infant. Also, who is this Jackson who is incredibly attractive?

For the love of God, this is a very cringe book, I wrote it in 2018. It's not realistic, it's very full of "2017 cringe".
