I SHOULDN'T BE AFRAID. But yet here I am my bones quivering, my skin becoming rough as the goosebumps rise. As my feet get closer to the dark blue water my hands start to tremble and my fingertips feel as cold as the ocean itself. I continue to walk towards the ocean, looking around me and seeing the waves going closer to the shore, hitting the sand at a steady but rapid pace. Without thinking, I notice that I've gone too far into the water. With a force so strong I felt something pushing my head down into the water, my body following along with it. I fought. I fought with all the power in me, and it wasn't enough. Because unfortunately whatever or whoever, was too strong to try and fight against. And so, the water took me in and I could only see darkness. Just pure darkness. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Amalia's life has always been somewhat normal. Her mother has raised her on her own for the majority of her life; give or take a few years after her father mysteriously left. But on her 18th birthday, secrets start to reveal themselves and Amalia starts to question everything and everyone around her. Will she accept the truth or will she be destroyed by the lies and deceit that have taken over her life?
