Julie is a junior at Colorado South Spring High. An ordinary girl, who is always on time, helps her mom and never lets her friends down. Not quite popular but not exactly the opposite. Her two friends Amanda and Emma have been there since middle school, always there if you need them.

Except for the vacation Julie's family goes on every year with the Smiths. Since Julie was five she can't remember a year they haven't been on a summer vacation with her family's closest friends.
Logan, the only son of the Smiths, has been Julie's guy best friend for every summer considering that when it's not summer, they don't really catch up often since they don't go to the same school.

This year the families decided to not go in summer but instead in winter. Which means going skiing! Julie loves skiing but the last time they went was when her parents were still together - meaning four years ago.

But when they arrive at the hotel they booked it turns out that only four instead of five rooms were booked. Unfortunately her brother has brought his girlfriend with him - and all the other rooms are fully booked. Now Julie and Logan have to share a room together.

Not only are they now together every day, every night a single bed brings them together, which turns out to be more than a problem...
