Spy School: Was It All A Dream?
"I sighed and put my head in my hands. I told her everything. I told her everything about my dream. I told her about how we had kissed there. I told her about how we had defeated SPYDER. I told her how I woke up. I told her about my fear of waking up and my parents not knowing what I was talking about. I entailed my terror of seeing people who had died in the dream. I told her about my shock of seeing her in my classroom, and her not knowing me. The heartbreak of seeing her with Joshua because I knew it wouldn't end well and I was still in love with her. The feeling of foreboding. The moles. The sacrifices. Death. Everything I thought I had experienced. I continued up until this point. I told her about Experiment Aucipis. I told her that I was in danger of the syndicate finding out and coming to kill me. I couldn't let anyone get near me unless they could protect themselves." Ben Ripley is a spy-in-training at the CIA's Academy of Espionage. In his short time there he's had a lot of success, but made many enemies in the process. He just wants to find some balance in his personal life, but the bad guys just won't cut him any slack. They've got big plans for him. Background I would like to become a better writer, and I am using the Spy School series for practice. I really like the way Stuart Gibbs writes, and I fully admit I am trying hard to copy his style. I don't know if I was successful or not. Hopefully, some of you will enjoy this short half-novel. I know it probably starts a little slow, but it does pick up. At least, I am having fun writing it. Takes place after Spy School Goes to Sea and contains spoilers from all the novels. All characters are original to Stuart Gibbs. If you prefer new characters or a more original take on spy school then this is not for you (lots of good stuff on here already).Complete
