Race first met Spot when they where 10, little did he know just how important this boy would be to him in the future.
Only when the 1899 newsies strike hits is when he understands that Spot is so much more than just the scary little ball of rage that goes by the title "King of Brooklyn".
And how could it be that the Spot Conlon, the heart less, stone cold, leader of Brooklyn, would grow a soft spot for the Italian, gambler whit a smoking problem that went by the name of Racetrack Higgins.
