This is a poem originally written by Jamil Ahmad Yousaf in urdu language. He isn't a very known personality but I personally consider him an amazing poet. This is one of his ghazals I translated to english.

Maybe, Just Maybe...
Maybe, just maybe, in a universe, Our love will grow and not just manifest. Maybe, there you'll be eager to know, My poem of love, written for you in free verse. It's not a mere thing, I'll tell you, It's like a love, so fresh, but not new. It's like feeling euphoric, just by an image, It's so affectionate, even just to envisage. It's like feeling the need for a word, A word, stronger than 'love'. A feeling for the world, That holds none but us. A misconception that it's impure and evil, That love's just a headache provider. I pity the souls who haven't witnessed it's purity, Cause love is a world of fondness for someone, with your dignity. Years of await, years of hope, Hoping that miseries shall be no more. And years of praying for him to be mine, This wish aged like a fine wine. He's so beautiful, how do I tell? For him, in nick of time, I fell. God really took fine years to enchant him, With all the goodness, stars suggested to pour in. He's got unexplainable beauty, That I adore so much more than he'll ever see. It's a hurting fact, that he'll never love me back, Despite that, he's the reason love isn't crap. Maybe he's got his definition of affection, Which, unfortunately, isn't the same soul as this one. Maybe, he's found his reason to live, To whom, all of himself, he'll give. If not then good for the love, The love that I saved for years. If not, then let it be this world, Where separation from me is what he fears. Maybe, just maybe, it's the universe, Where our love will grow, not just manifest. Sometimes to move forward in life, you need to go back... One call from Pakistan has Behzad packing his bag and getting the first flight to home. Bestie has died. He's got to go home to face his past . . . which includes the girl he left behind , who hates his guts and never tries to hide that.. Mehr worked hard to get over her past traumas and even harder to forget Behzad's existence- which wasn't easy at all. Considering everyone kept reminding her of him . Being the hometown's golden boy, every talk were about him, especially with her Mamo who was always full of him. When Gnash said , "Friends can break your heart ! I always tried but never of you!" . The infuriating Behzad is hard to forget and harder to live with , and hardest to not falling in love with. From friends to , enemies to lover? The sequence doesn't seem right ! But nothing is ever right when Behzad is included ! Can the stupid 'will' bring these two young petty people back together? She sat looking at the big mirror blushing and thinking about her groom, she didn't even know his name. She eagerly waited for him to come and take her with him to his home, to their home. She was thinking what he would say, what his voice sounded like, what he would call her and how would she react to his actions. The things which she had never imagined in her life about marriage, home, romance, relationship etc., she was thinking about it all today. She hears the door open and she closes her eyes, her head bowed down, cheeks blushed while her chest heaved up and down due to heavy breathing. She hears a voice talking to her from a bit far. She had her back to him. "Hi, Thanks a lot. If you hadn't come, then I would have been on the streets. You really did a good job. The director was impressed with your improvisation though the role was small." She was confused, what is her groom speaking about. She opens her eyes and turns around to see him. Her face falls, it was not her husband. He hands an envelope to her and thanks her before he leaves. She takes the envelope still confused. She thinks - Oh! This must be a wedding gift from his friend. But what was he speaking about, I couldn't understand anything ... Marriage was not on her list but when it happened, it happened in a strange way.
