The Potters had twin sons Harry and Joffrey. Harry was the eldest son of Lily and James Potter yet no one really knew of him. After the night Joffrey was declared the boy-who-lived Harry was neglected and forgotten. For nearly 6 years Harry lived in the shadow of his family, you could say he was a living ghost in his own home. It wasn't until he was 7 and he hears a certain conversation with a meddling manipulative old goat and the Potters that he finally runs away. He gets help from the goblins who help him escape Britain. For years the Potters and Dumbledore hear nothing of him until years later when he comes to Hogwarts going by a new name.
