Things were going relatively normal for Ashe this school year. Nothing was horrible. Nothing was horribly fantastic either though. He was doing fine with his three younger siblings and both his parents who loved him very much. He had friends, though they never talked much. He got all B's in class, and everything in his life was rather stable. Too stable, in fact, to the point where it made him a slightly forlorn child.
In the middle of March, his teacher announced that he was one of multiple boys in his school who was signed up for a Big Brother program, which would 'help him". However, Ashe doesn't think he needs helping. He doesn't need some stranger intruding in his life as a supposed brother figure.
