Isla returns home after a violent attack that left her recovering in the hospital. She has spent the last four years living near another pack. On the verge of making a decision that would separate her from her pack forever, she decides to accept an invitation from her brother to spend the summer on the territory that she was born and raised on.
In her exile, her birth pack had been taken over by Alpha Alec's Dark Moon. The new pack's warriors now inhabit the territory of her youth. With a reputation of having no remorse in killing large swaths of wolves in packs they take over, it was amazing that her family survived the attack. And furthermore, her brother invited her back.
There has to be more to the situation than the folklore shared with her before she left. She was jumping in with both feet and would either get to see this new pack or run away again. This time for good.
