I was walking to work one morning when a bag gets thrown over my head and I'm jerked back by two arms encircling my waist. My parents always told me this could happen as my father is the judge and put a high profile murderer behind bars. He set the bail at 1.2 million dollars and I honestly don't know why my father is still alive. I was in the courtroom but the little girl who was sitting next to me- maybe thirteen, so not really little- said there's no way he did it. Kids are a pretty good judge of character but I had to agree that some things looked off when the evidence was shown. The next thing I know the bag is pulled up some and a rag is put over my mouth and nose. I cringe inwardly at how cliché it is but hey chloroform does the trick and I'm out before we started moving.

I live in a world that makes no sense what so ever. Kids are put in mental institutions, young children sent to juvenile detention centers, families torn apart, and the hopes of living a normal life are ruined. I never live a normal life. I was five when placed in a mental institution. Yes, I met friends there and fulfilled some what of a destiny there but I grew up isolated and then faced with war. I, now, must push through this ever changing life to either die trying to fix everything or prevail and complete all that is set before me. Now, I must find out what is real from things that are just all in my head. © 2014 All Rights Reserved

This is the type of love you wish you found in high school but probably know way too well that it only exists as fiction. Today I'm turning my fiction to reality. ❣️•••❣️ Excerpt: Just as I was about to seek shelter under some building's roof, the tires of a car come to a halt, I wonder who might pity the lonely girl walking in the rain. The passenger window rolls down, and I spot the most unexpected person seated behind the wheel. "Get in" comes out his voice, and I must've stood there agape for a few moments because next comes his rhetorical question. "Are you getting in or continuing walking in the rain?" Eyebrows raised expectantly. I wasn't special, I wasn't a marine or a scientist sent here from earth to study Pandora, I was a behaviorist-some say behaviorists are scientists too; but the brain isn't made up of mathematics and hope, it's like the roots of trees. Forever speaking but unheard. I study people's brains and their behavior. I don't look at it with hope and faith. I'm nothing special, not really. When I was accepted to help with Project Pandora, I was exhilarated. This was my big break, something to get me out there. I never expected for it to spiral into my life unprofessionally-become personal, emotional. That I would have to fight in a war between man and alien, choose between my own people and a clan of beings that accepted me-welcomed me, trained and made me one of them. That feeling when you’ve sat in silence for too long and it starts ringing deafeningly in your ears. That Moment when you’ve been in darkness for so long, it becomes a part of you. In a secret government owned facility called N.A.D.I.A are monsters that you've only seen in nightmares, winged, fanged, bloodthirsty and feral. One big nightmare is what my life has panned out to be. Years inside the facility, I've allowed each of these lab monkeys to make me jump through hoops and dissects me like a high school lab experiment, but time has changed. I'm breaking out and I'll break bones to do it. They'll run in terror when they see what monster I've really become. I'm unstable

Dev, he saw the same dream every night, the same beautiful curly haired girl, looking at him with those pleading pair of eyes, but he could do nothing to save her from drowning.
