Stay with me is a songfic based on the song "Kiss It Better." The lyrics are parodied so that no one mistakes this story for something that it is not, and I HIGHLY recommend listening to the song before the story.



A gunshot rings out. It shouldn't have been any louder than the others, but it seems to explode around him as he spins, his hands flying to his belt and removing throwing stars as he does so, tossing them in a fluid motion.

The man takes off, his gun clattering to the ground, and it's the sound of a crash that stops Leo from giving chase. His younger brother stumbles a few feet, clutching his upper scute as he drops to his knees, intelligent eyes wide and terrified.

Leo runs to his side and attempts to steady him, an arm around his carapace as he removes his brother's hand, a disoriented horror sinking into his being at the small hole, at the blood that stains green fingers trailing ominously down his plastron.All Rights Reserved
