The Sandman fic, will take place in both the comics and the books. Desire/OC. Renata (Ren) doesn't know it, but she's known The Endless children for thousands of years, she dreams of her past lives and notices one reoccurring theme in all of them, she always gets screwed over in the end.
Even Dream and Desire don't know why this girl keeps being reincarnated but Dream knows one thing. He's actually starting to feel bad about her entanglement with them. Dream swears to Desire that he would leave her alone if Desire does the same, but desire hasn't stayed away in any of her lifetimes, why start now?

A tragedy occurred in Gauri's life and her idea of happiness and 'living life' to the fullest changed drastically. She felt that the story was calling out to her in weird ways because she kept going back to it, re-reading it multiple times, and feeling the heartbreak and extreme traumatic emotions all over again. Then, one day, she gets into an accident and finds herself in a world she didn't recognise, only to later realise that she may or may not have entered another world - The world she was reading about in the diary!! The world she knows because she has read it multiple times, but also the world she doesn't know because it was supposed to be fiction! Her only consolation was meeting the man she had been crying over for the past year. Would she be able to save the man from his inevitable destiny, or does she have to leave behind the man who made her feel things she didn't know were possible?
