If you are a girl in the quaint town of Greenwood, life is simple. Girls will grow to be housewives of their husbands, and have many children, hopefully boys, to carry on the family name. That's how things are supposed to be. This is what Clover Whey thought-- until she realizes she's been fantasizing about Faye Delina, the wealthiest family's daughter.
Clover finds herself dreaming of Faye in intimate ways, and Faye's sudden interest in befriending the farm girl does little to help. Clover can't understand why her stomach flips when her eyes meet Faye's cool blue iris's, or how when their hands brush she finds her face warm with heat. All she knows is that Fayes is causing her to feel things that she's never felt before, things that according to the 1900's village, should send her straight to hell.
