Donnie is Non-Binary. That would normally be fine, but a new side of their life is starting to get in the way of coming out. This "new side" is named Brandon Carter, a human boy. Donnie met Brandon when he was 15 & they were 14, a year before the Shredder incident. Brandon is the one that helped Donatello realize they were Non-Binary when they were 16 & he was 17, just after the Kraang incident. Brandon had opened a whole new world to them. Now, Brandon is 22 years old & Donatello is 21 years old. Donatello is out to April, Leo, & Splinter. And that's it. Donatello is petrified to come out to Raphael, Michelangelo, Casey & Vern. They shouldn't be so anxious since they've known their brothers since they were literal infants & they've known Casey & Vern for as long as they've known April. Brandon isn't making the situation any better, either. Donatello finds it awfully hard to focus on themself when they keep thinking of Brandon. Until Brandon & other Civilians get captured by the Foot Clan, led by Master Karai & Doctor Stockman. Karai & Stockman reveal that the civilians are to be test subjects for a new virus-like recreation of the mutagen. Vincent gives Donnie a lead (but they already knew). When the turtles find the place, they are able to save the civilians with help from April, Casey, & Vern. The Foot Clan then bomb the building. But Brandon is still trapped in his containment unit. Leo tries to get Donnie to leave, but they can't leave Brandon. They find a way to hack into the system & disconnect a weakening Brandon from the tubing, but he is still in the cage. Donnie is able to break it & holds Brandon close as the building collapses around them. They both make it out alive, & they are scared to lose Brandon again. Which leads them to reveal their newest project: an engagement ring. Then, Leo asks why Donnie risked their life for Brandon. That's when Donnie reveals that they are non-binary & that they've been dating Brandon in the first place.Complete

Lani was killed next to him just a few weeks later. Tubbo was eleven when he was taken, and fourteen when he was rescued and put until the system. He bounced from home to home for some months for either "being to quiet" or "not being able to take a joke," when the joke caused him a panic attack from his two years of trauma. Other homes just didn't want to take on the trouble of caring for a traumatized kid once they found out how "hard" it was. One day, when Tubbo is put in a home with a family of four, the dad of the other three and one of the kids, who is Tubbo's age, take a strong liking to Tubbo, who they thinks his name is Alesha and is a girl. "What the fuck did we bump into?" Damien yells. The entire room rattles. Window frame movement puts too much stress on the glasses. The lights going on and off as if some weirdo is busy toying with them, the light fixture's wires become exposed, and vases crash on the ground from top cupboards followed by books and magazines. Her eyes showed nothing but pure white as she tossed and turned vigorously on the small hospital bed, blinking multiple times. "DO NOT TOUCH HIM!" She yells. This fuels the shaking edifice more. "Do something!" I scream at the doctor who is standing there flummoxed just as we are. Out of nowhere, a bright light engulfs her. "What the actual fuck?" goes the doctor dropping the clipboard in his hands. The ECG machine goes into a wild paced beeping. "DON'T! "She shouts once more sitting up, blasting us away. My back connects with a hard object behind me. The sound of shattering glasses, exploding machines and light bulbs follow .A sharp high pitch sound ringing inside my ears caused by the blast. . I feel myself getting weak as my back aches from being hit. By the time am conscious enough the sound of buzzing sockets as a result of short out wires that produce bright sparks in the now dark room are all I see and hear for a moment, lights flickering simultaneously. Later, I hear someone giving orders from outside our room accompanied by indistinct voices from agitated people being guided out of the building. My eyes scan the room searching for Damien. I heave a sigh of relief to see him laying on the ground his head leaning lazily on the door. A figure moves adjacent from me. The doctor takes closer yet cautious steps towards the girl still seated on the bed her eyes shut. "What in the world of the X-Men are you?"
