Norah is a shy nineteen year old girl who enjoys being alone.
Harry is a rebellious nineteen year old boy who loathes being alone.
When Norah finds out she is moving to small town Clarksville, Nebraska from Seattle, she happily agrees to move. On the plane ride to Ralston, she meets a boy, Harry. Thinking she will never see him again, she confides with him about everything, vice versa.
