Daniel DeWitt suddenly wakes up. He does not know where he is, nor does he remember what has happened. Even his name seemed to have disappeared from his memory. His peaceful slumber had been disturbed by a set of voices - two females who were gossiping about some handsome doctor. As Daniel tries to open his eyes to greet these unknown guests - he comes to a terrible conclusion: the poor sod was strapped to what felt like a soft cloud. He was unable to move, or to look around. He was not tight up, nor was anyone restraining him. No - this was his body's doing. He could not move, he could not speak, and yet... He could smell the coffee beens roasting from miles away. He could hear every conversation in the building. It's like he had turned into a superhero. The lack of eyesight and movement had enhanced his sense of smell, taste and hearing. Throughout the story, Daniel is accompanied by a mysterious female voice, that calls herself Dana. She tells him stories and gives him advice. *This story was written as a project for NaNoWriMo 2018. A young woman wakes up in the hospital, with no memories other than the fact she had just been horribly injured in a fight, and she has superpowers. It's hard to be surprised by such news when it is the only memory you possess. Superpowers are just a fact of life at that point. The superpowers news turned out to be quite original for the rest of the world, which was entirely unaware someone like her existed at all. There is, however, an underground world of others like her, a criminal empire working toward something she had been trying to stop. But with no knowledge of what the villainous plan was, who these criminals were, or how to properly use her powers, things seem grim. She knows she is the only one who can stop them, and the only backup she has is a man who claims to have been her friend from before the accident. Will she be able to train her powers up, and stop the devious master plan before it's too late?
