Daniel DeWitt suddenly wakes up. He does not know where he is, nor does he remember what has happened. Even his name seemed to have disappeared from his memory. His peaceful slumber had been disturbed by a set of voices - two females who were gossiping about some handsome doctor. As Daniel tries to open his eyes to greet these unknown guests - he comes to a terrible conclusion: the poor sod was strapped to what felt like a soft cloud. He was unable to move, or to look around. He was not tight up, nor was anyone restraining him. No - this was his body's doing.

He could not move, he could not speak, and yet... He could smell the coffee beens roasting from miles away. He could hear every conversation in the building. It's like he had turned into a superhero. The lack of eyesight and movement had enhanced his sense of smell, taste and hearing.

Throughout the story, Daniel is accompanied by a mysterious female voice, that calls herself Dana. She tells him stories and gives him advice.

They're on opposite sides of a long-standing war. And now, thanks to one catastrophically unfortunate mission at the elite assassin academy they both attend... they're partners. Welcome to the academy. You're already bleeding. Sneak peak: "You're dangerous, Love" he murmured. "And you're tempted." A beat. A breath. And then, just barely audible "Yes." I smiled, sharp and mean and satisfied. "Then come be reckless with me, darling."
