Disclaimer: I realize that it says almost nowhere here that this is solangelo, but yeah, it is. Spoilers for all of PJO and HOO, so go read those first. Or don't. Whatever.
Camp's going fine. That is, until the summer session ends, and Nico finds himself alone, with the boy he loves now halfway across the country.
Will's a mess of emotions. Should he be happy, because he's now with his mortal friends? Or is it okay for him to miss being at camp, with people who understand? (And the cute emo boy he hasn't been able to stop thinking about, but that's not relevant right now.)
As things become unbearable at camp, the two boys are brought together in a twist of fate, teenage hormones, and undying love. Will they get over the awkwardness, arguments, and/or interventions?
IMPORTANT: It's AU-d a bit, so that Will isn't a year-round camper (It's a plot point, I swear!) Also, I'm just gonna pretend ToA doesn't exist.
I update at least every week or so, but there's no set schedule, so be sure to check in regularly!

Within the Forest (Werewolf Solangelo AU)
Nico di Angelo is a normal 16 year old boy. Or so people thought. Behind closed doors, Nico is a depressed teen dealing with his abusive boyfriend Nathaniel. One day, the abuse becomes too much and Nico runs into the woods in seek of escape. What he didn't realize is, there is more creatures in the forest he's grown up near almost all his life. And when his parents allow him to meet werewolf males, he still doesn't feel any connection to any of them. When he sees a small male human brought forcefully into the pack, he suddenly feels something he hadn't felt before. A mate's connection. But, how would Will's pack react to having a human alpha? Nico di Angelo is finally happy. He's learning to accept himself for his sexuality and as a son of Hades. After everything horrible that has happened to him, he's slowly getting better with the help of Will and his friends. Will Solace finally got the boy of his dreams. The boy he had a crush on since he was 11 years old. He's starting to realize that he isn't as useless as he thinks he is, and that he's actually worth something. Everything is going great for a while. But just like it always is for demigods, nothing good ever lasts. The death of Nico's first and closest friend Jason Grace puts a sudden end to the sunshine that currently brightens Nico's life for once. His death triggers a lot of things for him, and shines light on a lot of his unresolved trauma. Will Nico be able to make it through this without his mental stability completely breaking once and for all? Will Nico be able to let people in enough to help him get through it? And what about the mysterious dreams that Nico keeps having of his mom? And who really is this little girl that knows nothing about her past? In this sequel to Out of the Shadows, Nico sees familiar faces and revisits past places, but at least this time he has Will along for the ride. The hardest part isn't new school , leaving most of his family and friends, or the fact that he can only speak Italian. The simple fact is he crushing on someone...hard Will is the boy next door, the sunny kid everyone's best friend, super popular with dozens of friends, now he finds a new boy joining his small school . He only speaks Italian, and gets frustrated with the people they can't understand him. I have read a lot Solangelo stories all of them are good, but, none that have really gone the way that I have imagined so i decided to write my own. BTW, I have never written anything before. So, i apologize in advance if i make any mistakes. The characters in the story are of course entirely owned by Rick Riordan without which we would not be here reading this today. Please feel free to leave comments. I never wrote anything before so any advise would be appreciated. I'm not entirely sure how the age of consent works in all 50 states so for the purpose of this story Nico is 18 and Will is 20 (just in case :). This story has man x man content.
