On the night of Stu Macher's house party, Gale Weathers joins Deputy Dewey Riley to scope out a car found in the bushes just a ways down the road. She assumes that, with a masked murderer on the loose, the safest place to be is with Woodsboro's finest. This situation calls for suspicion. It could be anyone. But Dewey was certainly low on the suspect list. It was impossible to look at the bright-eyed, innocuous young man and see a knife-wielding maniac.
But what if it was all an act?
