His family is very wealthy and very successful. Alec doesn't like being in the public eye like some people, his sisters. He just wants to take responsibility and try to work hard for his money. He doesn't want to be like his sisters and live of his parents money. 

Then you have Max. She isn't rich but she isn't poor. She enjoys her life. Max works at a little guitar shop after school and Works at a catering business on the weekends. She's saving for collage and is determined to work hard enough to get it. Her parents are very proud of her. Her little brother, Dustin, looks up to her. He's 14 and says he wants to do exactly what Max is doing.
