Jaune did many things that he was not proud of. Forged transcripts, even if out of necessity, or to avoid potential international scandal, was one of those. Even so, he hoped that people will understand why he needed them. Yet, once his secret came out due to Cardin being unable to keep his mouth shut, everyone in the Beacon turned their backs on him, teachers, CFVY, Ruby, Blake and Pyrrha being the sole exception. Soon, even those three first years stopped associating with him, and to make matters worse, he got disowned. To help young man at least a little, Ozpin entrusts him with an easy patrol mission to a nearby settlement. Just what could go wrong?
