The Combine have taken over the world, Humanity is on the brink of extinction, and the personifications have been captured and held captive by the alien race.
The only one who remains is Alfred F. Jones. America. Who has somehow managed to evade the combine pretty well so far.
The resistance is dwindling, the will to fight all but gone.
But, just as all hope seems to be lost. A long lost legend, a hero, twenty years late to the party, has returned to liberate the remaining people of earth.
Armed with nothing but a crowbar and a pesky additude, Gordon Freeman must fight his way through hell all over again. This time, however, he has a bit of company. As man, looking no older than twenty, decides to aid him in his destiny.
Gordon Freeman is the hero this world needs. The one who will save the day.
