Standing in front of the waterfalls I found peace in, the cold rainy mist running down my warm skin felt amazing, my long brown hair cascading down my back, my face up towards the darkening sky, the last little bit of daylight warming me further, the quiet forest was peaceful, even as that familiar, loud running filled the air, it still was peaceful. Keeping my eyes closed, taking in the peacefulness of my little get away for just a little longer.

"a voth yi vy"
(There you are.)

I felt his large hands on me, slowly move down to my waist, his warmth surrounding me in seconds as the heat of his bare torso pressed to my back, the sparks sent a shiver down my back. His mouth pressed to the side of my head as he breathed me in, my body instantly relaxes into him.

"Did you think you could get far moi tsvetok?"
(My flower)

I giggled and shook my head, he knew better. His long dreads tickling the side of my neck as he pressed his lips against my temple, his every movement consumed me, just as that first day we met, the moment he set my soul free. The time he marked me.

"Just wanted to see how long it would take you to find me...my bukvenno."

The rain started running down my face as I started thinking of a way out of here. My body trembled in fear knowing that he could easily hurt me. I'm not strong against someone like him Thoughts raced through my mind as I tried to think of a way to get away from him. But there was nothing but endless trees around me. I blinked away the water running into my eyes due to the rain. My thoughts were disturbed when he suddenly spun me around to face him, his face just inches away from mine. "P-Please don't hurt m-me." I stuttered out. I tried to sound brave and not let my fear show, but my mouth betrayed me. His golden red eyes flickered with a hint of pain for a moment then back to a cold stare, "I'd never hurt you, never put you in harm's way and I'm never letting him take you from me, you're mine." He said in a deep low voice, almost a growl, and his eyes seemed to have gotten darker. 'What the hell is that supposed to mean?!' I tried taking a step back but his grip on my arm tightened. It hurt. "L-let me go, you, you're hurting me!" I looked up at him scared, his eyes were now completely dark, and the next thing I noticed were pointed teeth poking out from his lips. I screamed and pushed at him but he didn't budge. I then raised my knee and kneed him between the legs with all my force, and he dropped like a rock, holding his groin. Run. I took my chance. And ran. ~~~ Nora Brown, a normal adult, living a normal life. Moving away from home to start fresh and meet new people. Just going where life takes her. The forest had never seemed so alive, so hostile. Branches clawed at her gown, dragging at the white tulle as if the trees themselves wanted to keep her from escaping. Breath ragged, heart pounding, she ran faster. The runaway princess. Behind her lay the gilded prison she had once called home, and ahead-unknown freedom. Or so she thought. Far beyond the forest, nestled against the cliffs where sunlight dared not linger, stood an ancient cursed kingdom. Its walls bled with ivy, its spires broken yet unyielding. Legends whispered that no soul entered its gates and lived unchanged. Some said shadows ruled there. Others claimed the land itself was alive, waiting for its chosen queen. It was there he waited-the man feared across kingdoms. A ruthless dark king, his armor a thing of black steel and intricate carvings, his presence commanding silence, even from the winds. He had built his reign upon fire and fear, yet his hunger was not for power alone. His hunger was for her. "You carry fire in your veins, little one-fire that was always meant to be mine." And when battle raged around them, when swords clashed and fire lit the skies, he fell-not as king, but as a man whispering his final truth against her lips: "I was yours from the beginning... and I'll be yours until the end." The world seemed to crumble that night. And yet, in the ruins, in the ashes, in the silence that followed-she felt his presence, watching, waiting. "He chose you long before you were born." The runaway princess was never meant to be free. She was meant to reign beside him. Not as his captive. Not even as his queen. But as his fire. As his fate. As his undoing.
