Novel is complete and professionally edited. Young Adult Magical Realism/Fantasy. The city of Eximius runs a tight ship. There are extensive tests and observations of each citizen that help everyone find their perfect role in society. They are assigned their ideal job, living arrangements, and spouse. Everyone has a place and no one has to question anything. It's how they've avoided rebellion for all these years. Well, except that one time. But they don't talk about that. Those people were freaks anyway. Weird, supernatural abilities caused by a genetic mutation. But they wiped them out before they could do any real harm. Sure, sometimes food goes missing, alarms trigger for now reason, and well, some young adults disappear each year after graduation...but there's really no cause for concern. Eximius has everything under control, just like they always have and always will.

(THIS WHOLE BOOK WAS CREATED WITH THE HELP OF AI) Out on the rural outskirts of Xanna, the sky still looks real - wide, pale, and untouched by the city's glare. But for Drea, the lights of Xanna have always been calling. Every kid in her family leaves home at eighteen - it's an old rule, one that's lasted over a century. This year, it's her turn. She doesn't feel ready. Not for the noise, the faces, or the endless movement of the city that never sleeps. But ready or not, she's leaving - alongside her best friend Mami, whose confidence can generate the entire city. Xanna is alive. It hums, it shifts, and it remembers. The towers glow with promises of better lives, but underneath the neon is something else - words unspoken, power unseen, and people who don't always say who they are. For Drea, the city isn't just a new beginning. It's a test. Of who she is, what she believes, and what she's willing to become. Welcome to Xanna - where freedom glows brightest right before it burns.
