UNHINGED: Volume I

Six years ago, an event known as The "Downfall" caused the fall of humanities last continent after the other continents fell due to the appearance of "Anomalies" and the mysterious "Madness Disease" during the "10 Year War", a war that concluded with the "Downfall" and the end of the last bastion of humanity which was the neutral "Unified Federation" of the "The Western Most Continent."

Unhinged takes place in an unnamed alternate world where both civilian and military technology was about at the level of the early-cold war era and where energy similar to what we call Mana exists called "Bane Energy" or "the Bane," which can be used and sensed and/or seen by people who have an affinity towards it.

Interestingly enough, The mutants and anomalies that came about after the 2nd year of the "10-year war" - the precursor event before the "Downfall" - became weaker overtime till they were just stronger than humans as opposed to the monstrous menace they had been during the "Downfall" in which the federation defensive lines were overrun due to the overwhelming strength of the mutants and anomalies, the anomalies stopped getting weaker on the 1st year after The "Downfall" while the mutants on the 3rd.

Please bear in mind that this is my first time writing something of this degree and that I'm a total novice merely going off how to write based on the books I read.
