"Clint, don't do this. You're scaring me!" She wanted to pull away from him, but his strong, steady hands on her back held her in place. Seeing the look in his eyes, she knew there was no way that anything she'd heard was a lie. "Clint... What happened?"
The male sighed softly, shaking his head slightly like he didn't want to believe it either and he finally resorted to resting his forehead against hers. Natasha couldn't find it in herself to pull away from him, even if she had wanted to, and she gently ran her hands up his arms in an attempt to comfort him, letting them come to a rest on his shoulders as she closed her eyes tightly, trying to fight off her emotions and the tears that were bound to come with them.
If what he was saying was true... If it was true...
"Tasha..." "Shhh!" she silenced him quickly by placing two fingers against his lips. "Don't say it... Just don't..."
