Instead of a totally normal and average otaku the legendary shield chooses the best possible wielder and the most competent human it could have chosen but unbeknownst to the legendary shield the person who was chosen is a person with many mysteries along with being hollow and highly emotionally unstable. Just your typical normal and average Wattpad fanfiction right? Wrong . The person who was summoned was a individual with such ridiculously but perfectly reasonable prowess that even the most genius or most athletic can't even began to be able to compete with him. Burdened with a past so bad that death would be a boon for him plus having luck so bad that if compared to any lancer it would make that lancer look like the luckiest person on the planet. With the mentality never giving up just like a classic shonen Progtaganist thing. Well this is anything but a shonen fic. witness the rise of an reasonably overpowered shield hero as he deals with the trouble thrown his way which is just the the start to the long road of troubles to reclaim what he lost and once thought was impossible to reclaim . Yes you heard that right an overpowered shielder after all his greatest weapon is none other than his brain using which he could even kill people with nothing but a newspaper and we are talking about a fucking legendary shield .

He's kicking evil's ass while surrounded by explosions and collectible power-ups designed to milk your wallet! Yeah. That genre. So imagine my excitement when I, an unapologetic tokusatsu nerd, get flattened by the infamous Truck-kun and wake up in a fantasy world full of magic and not urban fantasy... Also, I reincarnated as an elf girl with a monstrous mana pool and long-ass lifespan... PERFECT! Because my wish wasn't to be the hero. No no no. My dream is to be the crazy scientist behind the hero. The one making the flashy transformation belts, overpowered weapons, and seasonal collectible gadgets that make kids scream and parents cry. And thanks to my elf perks, I can finally build all that! One catch though... I need high-quality materials. Like "boss-tier monster drops" level. So I join the Hero's Party to harvest rare loot. unfortunately the so-called "hero" is a walking red flag. Super OP? Yes. Handsome? Sure. Morally bankrupt manipulator who brainwashed an entire harem using his Cheat? Absolutely. Luckily, I'm immune- probably because I died bricked up over transforming gadgets and people in suits rather than the people... and not because a certain title. There this one poor sap who is just the luggage carrier now. (He's carrying my stuff too- heaviest bag, no regrets.) Apperently he stayed to watch over his childhood friend? GHAHAHAAHA. HOW AMUSING! So I made a choice. That guy? He's getting my first transformation belt. And he's going to use it to wipe that smug, sparkly grin off Mr. Blessed's face. After that? He can keep the belt or toss it- I just need more field data. Because anyone can be a true transforming hero- whether it's a 2000s kid with 2001 powers or a CEO turning children into glitch zombies.

so I've been into rising of the shield hero for a while now... a lot of things about it ALWAYS bugged me starting with the fact that the world functions like a game and the heroes are supposed to fight together in a party.... BUT WHERE'S THE ARCHMAGE?! THE BLATANT DISRESPECT TO THE MAGE CLASS IS REAL AND ANGERING! so I decided as a gamer who rather enjoys being a mage and healer, I'd rectify that. and other things. for all intents and purposes this is a self insert but I will be using my proxy OC that I use in my nutty fangirl daydreams. DON'T WORRY! I'M NERFING MY PROXY! this will follow the plot of the anime because..... I want to. and I'm..... LAZY~! and using the manga is too much trouble and the light novel is 800+ chapters long. So FUCK THAT! anyways if you read this and think it's lackluster then I want to see you try your hand at writing tate no yuusha fics! no that's not a challenge or insult it's just a desperate plea for more tate fics... we need some more variety! Alright I'm gonna be honest here. This story is laughably bad. So read at your own risk.
