Yes, human fiancée there is no mistake there. King Dimitri is engaged to a human woman because he, at 28 years old, has given up on finding his other half.
So when 18 year old Brooke Reaver comes crashing into his life as his mate he decides he doesn't want to leave his fiancée. And after a bit of thought an idea comes to mind. Rejecting, silencing, ignoring, banishing, and making her his side girl or mistress wouldn't be enough. He would kill her.
