What makes a monster? Does the appearance make a monster or does the behavior? In this world, there are both. The merefolc (water people) and wolcnfolc (cloud people) look like what most would classify as monsters, but the eardfolc (earth people) are the ones who truly behave like monsters.

This story follows Alana, a merefolc, whose blood boils for the beauty of the surface, but her fear of the monsters who lurked there, the monsters that killed her parents, has kept her from fulfilling her desires of seeing the surface. Until one day, she simply decided, to hell with it all, and finally went to the surface.
This story will be about her journey of all the other wolncfolc and eardfolc she met there.
