Unresolved from Book Two: Who is legally the crown prince? A princess option for Lucy? More: secrets, seduction, jealousy, relentless pursuits!
Excerpt:
English nobleman Christian Westbrook confessed, "Luce, I came to take you home! Tell me where that is, where we can be together." Something like "Casa Blanca," only under deafening helicopter blades, Manuel Castillano boldly pulled Lucy to him and passionately kissed her a long farewell, Christian be damned! Then Manuel begrudgingly surrendered to his competition the cruise ticket that he had purchased for himself.
Excerpt from Book Three: At nearly dawn, and alone in the still darkness on the upper deck with white caps stories below, Lucy and Christian had regained their former level of intimacy and were negotiating cabins, his or hers, when the wind suddenly picked up and the deafening sound of an approaching helicopter drew their undivided attention. On the helipad a few meters away, a shadowed figure stepped out and converged on the couple.
Shedding his concealing hood, Manuel Castillano kissed Lucy's left hand, and shouted above the noise, "I see you are not wearing a ring, so it is still 'Miss' Andrews! Senorita, you are fair game to me! Remember?" He passionately kissed her. Christian frowned at the disrupter in disbelief, but said not a word. Had the night sky not been rendered starless and moonless by the fog, Lucy and Christian could have detected a Spanish royal family crest on the door of the whirly bird. Manuel grinned from ear to ear as he put his arm around Lucy in an "I'm going to steal your girlfriend, Christian," sort of way and led her away from his retreating ride and his competition.
