Everyone knows the story of King Midas: he found a satyr sick in his rose garden, nursed him back to health, was offered a gift from Dionysus in exchange for his hospitality, wished for everything he touched to turn to gold, and everything did. Everyone knows he's a greedy, selfish imbecile that turned his own daughter into precious metal.
There are a few flaws to said story.
