2007. The life of a slayer has grown more difficult since Buffy Summers destroyed the Seed of Wonder. Lily Velasco and her mentor, Faith Lehane, must adapt to a magicless world while also protecting it from the evil that remains. Holed up in London, England after helping Angel and resurrecting an old Watcher, the two slayers become tangled up in their own Big Bads.
It has been about a year since the Seed of Wonder was destroyed. Lily and Faith are keeping their heads down after their latest mission, making home in an abandoned hotel in the City of London. After meeting a strange boy, both slayers are hit with a vision: A beam of light raining down from the sky, the boy at the center of it. They investigate one lead at a time... straight into a deal gone horribly wrong.
