When the son is too hardheaded and stubborn for his own good.
When he is put under similar conditions as a certain brainwashed assassin.
When he is retrained, reconditioned, repurposed.
When it began to crack, to falter, to give in.
Only then was it finally set freed, saved, helped.
Only then was he allowed to choose again, to be himself again, to do the things he loved.
Only then was he allowed to roam around as he once did.
Only then was the son able to open himself again.
Only then was the son able to return.
But who is this son, this he, this it?
Well he was one of two, and one of many.
One of two HYDRA assets, assassins, weapons.
One among many of HYDRA's secrets.
He was known as Poseidon in this time, and later on known as Aquaman to the news and public.
But to his father and the others who managed to get close to him?
He's simply known as Arthur, Arthur Curry.

Bucky Barnes starts to remember his life before he became the Winter Soldier. After the events of Washington, he had wanted to run away and hide. He knew people would come looking for him, especially Hydra and the Avengers. Hidden away in a remote town, on the outskirts of Maine, Bucky tries to live a simple life without drawing attention to himself. Little does he know, he had been followed. ***** Alexandria (Lexi) Adams, was one of the best shadow agents of SHIELD. She was one that Fury trusted with everything, including her judgement. Fury knew that having the Winter Soldier on their side, would be beneficial, not to mention, it would stop Rogers from turning down missions he was needed on. Lexi follows Barnes from a distance, helping to set him up with a home and job, without him knowing it was her. She had moved in to the apartment across from him, playing the friendly neighbour, which was a feat in itself. Lexi was never considered a friendly type of person. It was her mission, to help keep him safe, recover his past, and obtain any Hydra information. She makes sure to bump into him, while shopping for groceries, introducing herself, but she finds he's very closed off and guarded. Can she get through to him, or will he up and run again? When Hydra operatives come crashing through their complex, Lexi must make the choice, to stand and fight, or run. Will the two work together?
