"Shijie?!" Wei Wuxian sounded frantic.
Why was shijie here? Why was she looking for Wei Wuxian? She should be somewhere safe. She wasn't supposed to be at the pledge conference-
"Shijie? Shijie, where are you? I can't see you!" He called. He heard her. He heard her voice. She was here. Where was she? What if she was hurt-
Jiang Cheng choked back a sob, scrambling around, trying to find her. Swords and arrows flew, slicing into flesh and tearing away the limbs of fierce corpses, but he didn't care. His body felt numb. All he wanted was to keep her safe.
