This is a theory for the new Ninjago series, after the defeat of the Crystal King. the ninja all go on to live their lives, but someone is missing. Kai, the one that sacrificed himself to save his friends and family...he was frozen in the Crystal caves no one knew how to free him, not even Wu. so years went on, the old ninja were training new Ninja, and soon a new group was formed. now the new Ninja are on a quest to find Kai and reconnect him with his friends, facing many challenges on the way.

(Takes place after Hands of Time and before Sons of Garmadon). Since Kai and Nya found out what happened to their parents, they feel whole. As for Cole, well, after all those incidents, for some reason, now he feels even MORE separated from the team and doesn't know why.
