This is a theory for the new Ninjago series, after the defeat of the Crystal King. the ninja all go on to live their lives, but someone is missing. Kai, the one that sacrificed himself to save his friends and family...he was frozen in the Crystal caves no one knew how to free him, not even Wu. so years went on, the old ninja were training new Ninja, and soon a new group was formed. now the new Ninja are on a quest to find Kai and reconnect him with his friends, facing many challenges on the way.

Dreams of Time
It's been almost a year since Nya left the team and merged with the sea. Ever since then Kai and Jay have not been the same. None of the ninjas have. But most of the others had learned to move past it. While Kai and Jay still have their moments of Grieving. Wu was worried about them. She could tell that they still were affected by her "death". Though she was still physically alive, the Nya they knew was no longer there; the Nya they loved was dead. But Wu's worries only grew when he left one day to go do his smoke visions in a more quiet and peaceful place. The other ninja had left to go do some work in Ninjago city while Kai and Jay stayed behind. The two boys recently have been near each other often. They seemed to be discussing something but none of the others would know what. As one of the others comes over they keep their mouths shut. Wu sat by the fire and meditated. How he would love to be able to see what has been going on in the two students' heads, but there was no possible way of doing so. He hummed as his smoke visions started to appear. Everyone was as happy as could be as expected but then the visions slowly started to darken... He awoke again with a small burst of panic but quickly calmed down, he knew to keep them safe. He had to prevent them from whatever they might be trying to do... Little did he know... he was already too late. What did Wu see? What is Jay and kai planning? And who may They be?Complete

A whole year has passed after Nya's sacrifice. Many of the Ninja had deserted from the team to do their own personal things, however that wouldn't last too long when they all learn about a Herald buying vengestones and recruiting old villains. And although the powerful Sea Serpent Wojira has been defeated, an even greater and more dangerous power will soon emerge from the shadows and threaten to bring peace in the dark. One day when he was on a mission with Cole to save some adventurous that got stuck in a narrow cave a disaster struck on Kai. After the mission Cole got all the thanks and Kai got none, Cole was the only one who truly understood what happened.
