Rowan's dad vanished eight years ago, and she just tapped into his magic for the first time.
The world of Alitheia is intertwined with magic and technology, composed of four cities stretching miles into the sky sheltered from a deadly storm that stretches over entire continents. It's where her dad was born, and now that Rowan is a runecaster, she's bound for Alitheia whether she or her mom likes it or not.
There, she has the chance to learn to runecast and discover what happened to her dad - or fail, and spend her life rotting in the dinky Oregon town of Costa Lomas from which she's been trying to escape since her dad vanished.
Rowan leaps at the chance. It comes at the cost of finding out why her mom, the most terrifying person she knows, did everything in her power to keep her away from Alitheia and its complex web of magic, politics and war.
It comes at the cost of Rowan finding out that her family's history in Alitheia is so much dangerous than she could have imagined.

Unfortunately, the odds are stacked against her. Both her parents had no magic and thus the chances of her developing it are slim at best. But the gods of fate smile upon her one day when she receives her mark of light, thus becoming a light witch. Acquiring magic is only the first step, however. After this comes the grueling and life-long task of mastering it. We accompany the young witch as she sets out on a journey of self-discovery, full of magic and wonder - or so she thought. From the frigid tundra of the Frozen North to the craggy hills of Eldrasit, and the vast forests of the elven lands, Velvet encounters mercenaries, dragons, and a vast array of other creatures, all of which seem eager to demonstrate that the world is far more cruel and unforgiving than she thought. Good and evil are not so easily told apart, not everyone is to be trusted, friends can die and a happy ending is all but guaranteed. Will Velvet be able to find her place in such a world? Can she become the hero she admired in her storybooks and pass on her knowledge of magic to others as she always wanted? Or will the cruel reality shatter her illusion and bring the girl to her knees?Complete

Rowans Choice
Completed ✨👸🏼 Born to the fairy elite, the royal line, next in line to take the crown, a queen to be announced on her next birthday, with her royal responsibilities and...one choice... only one... everything else has always been decided for her. "Who has Princess Rowan chosen to be her eternal mate?" A question, oh a question, It was already whittled down by the draw upon her birth, a family name picked at random, to keep this fairy line fair, hardly fair to the one picking, to do so from such a small pool of options. Luckily fairy families were large but as Rowan searched the faces in front of her, five brothers... all handsome, all rather eager to take the beautiful Princess's hand... it was the sister, stood to the left, observing, that caught Rowans eye and if she only got this one choice then it was clear. She had read the rules, many, many times, they clearly state to pick from the chosen families kin, sixteen years and over only, nothing on the gender, not that it had ever been done before but rules were rules and Rowan smirked as she let her choice roll over her tongue. She would choose the one thing her father would be most furious about but couldn't change, her choice, and no other fairy, king or not could change it. "Andromeda" she would announce, finger flexed toward her, and the entire kingdom would erupt in the great hall with shock, as Andromeda of the sky line, was pushed forward by her mother into the mix with her brothers. "Rowan" her father would curse "if you place that ring on her finger your line has ended... please rethink your choice" But Rowan didn't care... and Andy had called out to her long before now, the beautiful brunette with striking green eyes, a daring smile and a powerful magic that Rowan had long admired. And after all... it was Rowans choice... to hell with the rules. *I DO NOT GIVE PERMISSION FOR THIS BOOK TO BE COPIED, OR ADAPTED ON THIS PLATFORM, OR ANY OTHER, BY ANYONE ELSE* *Completed February 2023*Complete
