The Infection that helped bring the world to its knees also changed humans in ways to help them keep living in this now broken world ready to be rebuilt. Seven lineages with three strains each, and each have their own unique set of traits that help us survive. But that's not what this story is about-at least, not really. This story isn't about how a hero will rise and bring the world back to what it was Pre-Fall. This story is about me, an ordinary Remanat living life through the world day to day as a mercenary. A beginner mercenary as everyone likes to remind me. The others in my group have been calling me 'Rookie' since I joined them three months ago. I'm beginning to wonder if they actually know my name. We have been hired to help the New Reach Caravan travel across the wastelands to Philly Del Phia, and this is the perfect opportunity to show them that I'm not just a dumb Rookie. I'm actually quite good at my job. I just happen to get distracted by one certain Eight-Ball, but it's not my fault he's good-looking, and charming, and funny... Anyway, all I have to do is help my group get the caravan to Del Phia. Should be an easy enough job. Just avoid the zoms and keep clear of the Raiders, and we should be fine... Right? We follow the story of Mado X a survivor who escaped his underground safe house which was last called "the quarantine" because of all the diseases that occurred when their self powering generator stopped working. He now roams the world in order to survive, but the radiation.. what did it do to him? will survival be easy? [WARNING: may contain vulgar language, blood scenes, rape, sexual ideas, violence]

I never bothered to aim down my sights, I was blinded by the cascading snow. I just wanted to pluck a couple leaves, eat some Reese's pieces, and go home. Leave the forest behind and pretend none of this is happening. But that's not how it ends at all. Itends with us killing each other behind each other's backs because we are so paranoid about this twisted virus. It ends with our species dying off. But it's not over yet. I won't let it be over yet. I have to find Cole and I's parents. I need to get back to Abigail. I need to make sure the others don't die, I couldn't let that happen. So I shot down the second hunter. And the third one.

A seven year old girl trying to survive the zombie apocalypse in a fairly small city in rural New Mexico. This is the third in my short story series taken from the universe created for my first book. Ardamin: Clone #7. These short stories are more horror focused than the main book. But how can you tell the story of a zombie apocalypse without some horror? This story is unedited and first draft as keeping with my first two short stories posted to Instagram and therefore will not be polished or fixed with multiple drafts leading to an end product. This story was meant to be raw or just as it poured from my head. Spelling and punctuation errors are only to be expected, if the cause you some offence well... that's just the way this story was made. It is not meant to be refined but like living such a scenario would be, rough.
