I wouldn't say I'm... normal. You see, I live in a place called Rever. We are a small nation that my parents had dreamed of making their entire lives and are the ones who help found and build it. They were also some of the founders who fought on the front lines when the war for our independence from the neighbouring nation took place. And they even became the Leaders after the war was over. Boom! The explosion rings loud and shakes our house. Gunshots follow the explosion. This chorus of sounds has been our constant companion since a secret resistance decided to fight against the dictatorship that overtook America. Usually the fighting is far away, but it has been creeping closer every single day until it takes over completely. I'm thrown into the danger as I try to protect my younger brother and sister. I'm forced to do things I never would have imagined and go beyond myself. It would've all been too much if not for the boy that appeared in my life unexpectedly.
