Lenora Sanford could not believe that she was disowned by her father for choosing to marry the love of her life Winston Randolph. Crestfallen not because she lost her riches and forename but that her marriage would lack her father's blessing, she reveals the news to Winston, only for it to break her heart over again when Winston states that he wants nothing to do with a penniless women. Grief stricken at realising that Winston never loved her but only her money she returns home.
There she is surprised by her dad's best friend and business partner Michael who tells her that her dad had called to apologise for his irrational behaviour and is willing to accept her daughters' fiancé. And that he is coming for a short time leaving behind his business to spend some time with his daughter and her fiancé.
When Michael comes to know about Lenora's situation with Winston, he refuses to let her dad know about the deeds but instead ask Lenora to play along by finding a fake fiancé for her.
