[Prequel to The Bass Player and Bass and Drums]

From mid-summer 2014 to mid-spring 2015 Luke and Ashton were sleeping together. A revelation that never ceased to make Calum just the tiniest bit jealous. Over the years Calum had asked the others about the year and what went down and between the three of them he pieced together what he thinks is the most likely version of events.

Calum tells the story of the year Luke and Ashton were hooking up through recollections of stories he's heard.

While on tour Ashton has been struggling the past couple of months, while no one seems to notice, until Luke does one day. Luke who has started drinking again struggles to contain his back and forth mindset with his feelings towards Ashton and his own issues. Luke's battle with substance abuse and Ashton's declining mental health, mixed into their already crazy lives, starts a horrible downhill spiral for one of them. Trigger warning This book contains graphic descriptions and feelings that the reader may be trigger by, please read at your comfort level, this book is also incomplete and I haven't edited the chapters at the top to contain trigger warnings yet. -work in progress- Started in 2017 and picked up again in 2024. I feel like my writing has changed a lot since 2017, very unedited, just something for me to do/ keep me occupied.
