Alana hasn't always had it easy, but that never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants.
She's come a long way from the small foster home in NYC where she grew up - after high school graduation, she moved to Boston to study further in law - after she graduated from college, returned to NYC, and started her profession as a successful lawyer.
So when her high school friend Adam Waheed, returns after disappearing before graduation day, everything in Alana's life suddenly changes.

Adam is dependable, assertive, and maybe even a little cocky. He's also a little protective, and brilliant. At the same time, Alana is quiet yet talkative, a beautiful girl. When Adam suddenly reappears, everything which she had thought was the truth turns out to be a lie, and the mystery; slowly begins to solve.

My hijab stood on end, a shiver raced down my spine and I felt a lump in my throat. It was him.
I ran and ran until it was to the end of the cliff. I hysterically looked at both sides,
 They were coming.
 They were after me I knew.
 I can't die! At least not right now.
 Behind me was the river and in front of me were the men, fully armed with guns. There's no way to survive. But still 
I can't give up. I'll fight till the end. I am trembling and sweating with fear. No! It's not fear it's anger. I'm frustrated. Because all my life has been miserable. And now when I'm finally getting peace, they're taking the peace from me? I cannot let this happen to me. Not now, not again.
