military redemption

I wrote this for a competition for a writing group, it had to incorporate a bunch of phrases from James Joyce's "Ulysses". The characters in it are probably not what most people think they are. I know that sounds vague as hell but that's all I'm giving. To describe this story, I guess the people in it are seeking redemption and moving on from a dark past, a theme I suppose regularly resonates with me. I'm a different person from whom I started as, if anything I could have said that regularly since I so often change, the thing that annoys me as despite my changes, my situation generally remains the same.All Rights Reserved
