a heart wrenching story based in Amc's The walking dead about a young kid growing up in the apocalypse and making a new family after "losing?" their own...
"Kai! honey you awake! it's time to get up!" my mum calls up the stairs to me I groan and roll over yawning "I'm up mum I'm up" I yell down, I get up and get dressed before heading downstairs I see the table set for breakfast and I take a seat my parent joining me shortly after we sit and eat as we hear the chatter of the TV in the background all of a sudden we hear a loud alert "BREAKING NEWS A WORLD WIDE VIRAL OUT BREAK HAS STARTED!!!" I turn my attention to the TV and listen "people have begun to fall ill and seemingly die and become reanimated corpses and they've begun to act like rapid cannibals lunging at others in aggressive and feral ways we have reports of multiple people eating other citizens fa- 'CLICK' " the TV powers off "hey kiddo eat your breakfast you don't need to be watching that" my dad says I nod and go back to eating as we eat we hear 'BANG! BANG! BANG!'
